About Wellsville Days

YOUR WELLSVILLE DAYS COMMITTEE

Kevin Jones

Kevin Jones grew up in Wellsville and considers it home. After a couple of deployments while serving in the United States Army, Kevin has returned home to live in Wellsville with his wife Nicole and their four kids: Matty, Sylas, Ellie, and Asa. Always looking for ways to serve the community, Kevin’s life mission is to experience an abundant life and help others do the same.

After graduating from Wellsville High, Kevin earned his Associate’s of Arts from Johnson County Community College, his Bachelor’s in Science & Education from the University of Kansas, his Master’s in Ministry/Leadership from Southwestern Christian University, and his Green Beret while on the Commandant’s List in the US Army Special Forces Qualification Course. Previous to real estate, Kevin spent five-and-a-half years in the military and eight years as a Pastor.

Paul and Melanie

Paul and Melanie Good live on the outskirts of Wellsville, where they enjoy their little niche in the country.  They moved here in 2005, looking for the slower pace of a small town, after living most of their lives in Olathe. They both graduated from Olathe North High School, although didn't meet until years later.  Married in 2002, they have 7 children all together.  Though their lives are busy, they enjoy every minute of it! Paul is a machinist, and Melanie is a nurse; both work in Olathe.  They enjoy travel (day trips, as well as longer excursions), raising chickens and other various farm animals, music and of course, all those children.
This husband and wife team hope to bring some fresh and exciting ideas to the Wellsville Days Committee, and have a particular interest in expanding entertainment at Wellsville Days.

Alicia Bio

Alicia is a small town girl who loves to be able to call Wellsville home. Throughout her life she has lived in many places, Osawatomie KS, Paola KS, Coffeyville KS, and Lake of the Ozarks MO, where she graduated from high school. She has been married to Jeff for thirteen years. Last year they were excited to be able to purchase their first home in Wellsville. They have three sons, Trevor, Austin and Coy. Their family loves to be involved in the community. They enjoy spending time at home, riding their bikes in town, camping in the summers, and playing sports. During the school season they love to attend Wellsville Eagles sporting events together.

When Alicia is not at home with her family, she is working as a nanny in Lenexa, KS, for a family with two little girls. Alicia looks forward to meeting new people, being more involved in the community of Wellsville, and just seeing the people come together more than ever. She would like to see the traditions continue to be carried on to the next generations. Raising her children in Wellsville just like her husband was, is something that really means a lot to Alicia.

Amanda was born and raised in Wellsville. She moved back to Wellsville in April 2010.   She is the 4th generation in her family that has graduated from Wellsville School District. She graduated from Baker University in 2001. She lived in New Jersey for a year and a half, and then moved to Gardner, KS  for 7 years before moving back to Wellsville. In her free time, Amanda loves traveling, shopping, reading, spending time with her family and friends, going to the movies, and playing softball or basketball and running.  She has worked as a nanny for the last six and a half years.

Kelley Jerred is a single mom of two wonderful son’s Zach & Johnathan.  The owner of Kelley’s Kids Daycare, an in-home Group Daycare in Wellsville since 1994, Kelley absolutely loves her town and wants to support it in any way possible.  She says, “Wellsville is my home and heart!”
Kelley is the inventor of two successful fundraising mediums, Phatgirlz Brownies & Jerred’s House of Haunts, that has raised thousands of the dollars for families in need in our community.
Some of her future hopes and dreams include owning a Bed & Breakfast and being a motivational speaker for BBW and plus-sized teens.
